This is a very dramatic story about a 60-year-old Serbian woman who spent the past 20 years of her life trying to conceive a child. However, life dealt her a bad hand when she eventually succeeded in having a child.
After 20 years of fruitless attempts, she had given up hope, but this time, she became pregnant with a girl. A few months later, after numerous fertilization treatments, little Alina was born.
But soon after the child was born, Atifa’s husband—Alina’s father—left his wife. The father told his wife that he was too old to put up with a crying baby after changing his mind after hearing the newborn’s first scream in the delivery room. The woman’s spouse had abandoned her the day after giving birth in this manner.
The new mother is determined to raise the child by herself, despite the fact that it looks like both parents had health problems—the lady had high blood pressure and the father had diabetes and heart disease.
Due to the pregnancy’s risk, the woman spent the last three months of her pregnancy in the hospital.
As a result of her father’s refusal to grant Alina legal recognition, the little child will not use her father’s last name.
Atifa is open about her past employment at a textile mill and her modest pension, yet she also says:
“I will do my best to raise Alina no matter what; whether Serif stays or leaves. Just let me live for her. Even though I know it won’t be easy, I think a lot of people will want to help me.
